Dr. Gaffar’s educational journey began at Saba University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following his medical education, he completed his residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident, gaining invaluable leadership experience. His passion for oncology led him to pursue a Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship at the USF-Moffitt Cancer Center, one of the leading cancer research and care institutions. During his fellowship, Dr. Gaffar focused on Genitourinary (GU) and Senior Adult oncology, conducting impactful research that helped further refine his expertise in these areas.

As a board-certified oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Gaffar remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field by continually updating his knowledge of the latest advancements in cancer treatment. Dr. Gaffar is also known for his ability to foster collaboration among healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions to ensure that new treatments reach patients quickly and efficiently.
